Blog? Do I really want a blog? Do I need a blog? Do I have enough to say to justify a blog? Who will read it? Who will care?Let’s start off with who I am (or think I am!).
Hi, I’m Pat Fauquet. I am a middle-aged woman who is somewhat of a geek–a Macintosh geek, a technology geek, a sewing geek, a graphics geek.
Well, that one side of me.
I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother. I have been married to my best friend, Ron for almost 32 years. We have five children, four girls and a boy, all of whom are now grown and except for brief visits home, are out on their own. I am also the proud grandmother to six grandchildren, ranging in age from 3.5 weeks to 13 years. I have three son-in-laws, all of whom I am proud to claim as a part of our family!
I have the best job in the world! I work, mainly from my home, with a man I am proud to say has been one of my “heros” for many years. I help Bob LeVitus in his Macintosh consulting business. Our business is virtual. I work from my home in Virginia, Bob is in Texas, and the area code for our “Doctor Mac” phone is in the Silicon Valley of California. We make “mouse calls” to fix computer problems, do training and and troubleshooting with some wonderful software authored by Dean Shavit. His Mac HelpMate software allows us to see the client’s computer and even control his mouse and keyboard.
In my spare time, I am the Vice President for Programs and the CD Editor for Washington Apple Pi, one of the world’s oldest and largest computer user groups.
